Half term refurb – ready to welcome you back!

This week in the preschool, we have been busy - out with the old and in with the new! So what have we done?

Some of the furniture and toys within the setting that were stored outside were a little outdated and unloved. We were able to salvage and hope to restore some of the play kitchen units, however some of the pieces were stored without use for a long time and had fallen into disrepair. By the time we had removed them from the back of the shed, it was decided that they were no longer fit for use.

Our staff spent two days clearing and sorting and we are pleased at the results so far. We have another shed to clear out over Christmas, however we are freeing up vital garden space with the hope of eventually installing beds to grow vegetables, flowers and herbs. Any and all donations for the garden will be greatly appreciated in the Spring, so please bear the school in mind when you start buying plants for your own gardens!

The Leisure Centre has also kindly agreed to redecorate the setting for us and will continue to revamp the Annexe in phases over the coming months. We are thrilled to be offering your child a fresher, brighter and more natural setting and we will share the results as soon as possible.

If you would like to make a donation of wooden toys, natural resources (conkers, pinecones, dried leaves, sticks/branches etc) or anything materials such as gravel, sand and soil, please contact the preschool on our email enquiries@shenleychurchendpreschool.org.
